note:
Her birth name was Sina Faye, but everyone knew her as Faye. If you asked her what her middle name was she would more than likely tell you, "Sina" (pronounced Sigh Nah. Faye Sina, she'd say.

Sina Faye Capps was born on September 15 1908 to Paris Pzaro Capps and Minnie May Moore in Newton Co. Missouri. (On the page from the bible, her mother spelled her name "FAY," but probably somewhere through the years Faye added the "E") She joined an older brother, John Lewis Capps. Following her were:

Orville Willis "Bill" Capps
Lena Frances Capps
Sarah Lorena Capps
Cleta Mildred Capps
Mary Louise Capps

Faye, as she preferred to be called, married Virgil H. Burtrum on April 20 1929 and had two children:

Wilfred Burtrum (married Beverly McInness) and Peggy Jean Burtrum(married name: Morrow).

Had seven grandchildren: six boys and one girl.

During her life, Faye had a spunky and great sense of humor as the great-aunt that I knew. Her humor, at times, could be "dry," but I found it to be humor that I enjoyed. In her last few years, I did her hair at my beauty shop and she told me tales of the Capps family that helped in my search for more info for my family tree.

Faye died the day after her birthday on September 16th which was 5 years and 1 day after her husband Virgil.

I loved her stories!!
