Sallie Woolfolk Blakemore, 88, widow of Oscar Blakemore, died January 29, 1947 at her home on High Street in Versailles, Kentucky. She was born at the Woolfolk family home on Steele Pike, a daughter of Josiah Pitts and Eudora Martin Woolfolk. Her twin sister, Mrs. S. D. Pinkerton, died in June 1940. She married in 1885 and gave birth to one son. She became a widow in 1895 and moved with her son to Woodford County to live with her sister. The son died in 1910 and Mrs. Blakemore later purchased her own dwelling at 133 High Street. She was an active member of the Baptist Church. Two nieces and a nephew survive. She was predeceased by a brother and two sisters. Duell-Clark Funeral Home in Versailles handled the arrangements. Burial was in the Versailles Cemetery.
