Obituary: Boulder Daily Camera - Saturday, June 13, 1970: "William Greenfield, Owner of Nelson Coat Co., Died on Friday - William L. Greenfield, owner and operator of the Nelson Coal Co. in Boulder, died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital in Denver. He was 65.
He was born in North Loop, Nebr., on March 14, 1905, and came to Boulder in 1923 from Nebraska. He married the former Georgia M. Shidler on December 24, 1938, in Arvada. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Boulder.
Surviving are his widow at 2328 Pine St.; four daughters, Mrs. Robert W. (Wilma Marie) Slinkard of Boulder; Mrs. William P. (Shirley) Fidler, Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. Sherry Sidman and Miss Beverly June Greenfield, both of Boulder; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Jennings, Gervais, Ore,; and 12 grandchildren. A son, Merris Lester, and a daughter, Barbara Joan, proceeded him in death.
Services will be Monday at 11 A.M. at the Howe Mortuary Chapel, with Rev. Joseph D. Wright of the South Side Nazarene Church officiating. He will be buried in Mountain View Memorial Park."
