Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church of Bentonville with Dr. Don White, officiating. Funeral arrangements are by Callison-Lough
Funeral Home Bentonville. Graveside services will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger will announce arrangements.
He was born March 8, 1922 in Wilco, Okla. He lived in Borger
for 35 years, and had lived in Arkansas the past five years. He was a chemical specialist for Phillips Petroleum Company.
He was a member of First Christian Church of Bentonville where he served as chairman for the Elders and Stewardship, member of Christian Church Golfer's group, the Men's 18-hole
association, and Flytypers in Bella Vista. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1941-1945.
He married Ann Torrence Stackhouse, Sept. 26, 1980.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Patterson Barber, two sisters, and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Billy Barber of Stinnett; and Jerry Barber of Bryan; one daughter, Avondel Crockett of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; two step-children, David Stackhouse of Austin; and Diane Guynes of Baytown; three brothers; two sisters; and 14 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church or to the M.D. Anderson Clinic in Houston.
