Frank was the son of James Perry Asher and Clara Butler Asher. He was adopted by his uncle John Perry Asher and his wife Harriett prior to 1900. Both are listed as deceased on Frank's 1925 Iowa census report. Frank married his 1st wife, Effie Stout, on June 9, 1911. They were the parents of two children that I am aware of; Charles Preston and Ruth. After the death of Effie, he married Ethel Alice Sawyer on March 7, 1926 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. They were the parents of a daughter Dorothy and a son, Lee as well as an infant son Donald Paul who died 5 days after his birth on 28 May 1927. His death record states he was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery but there is no headstone or marker for him.
