Kathy, along with, Penny McGregor, were killed during a drive by shooting, with the killer shooting up the mobile home they were in.∼Princeton, Ky.-- A Princeton man was arrested early Tursday morning for the shooting deaths of two women, state police reported. Kathy McGregor, 51, and her niece, Penny McGregor, 30, were found with gunshot wounds in a trailer on the Princeton Olney Road.
Kentucky State Police spokesman said the Caldwell County Coroner's Office pronounced Penny McGregor dead at the scene. An smbulance rushed Kathy McGregor to Caldwell County Hospital where she later died. State Police arrested William J. Rogers, 34, Princeton, Ky., on two counts of homicide. Rogers vehicle was stopped about two miles from the McGregor's trailer. His vehicle matced the description a caller gave police. There were other people in the trailer at the time of the shootings, Recke said, but it's not clear whether they witnessed a murder. Rogers is being held at the Caldwell County Jail.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. There will be no visitaion.
A native of Madisonville, she was born April 20, 1956, the daughter of the late Jesse Nobel Slaton and mary jane Cross Slaton. She was a homemaker.
A son, Jason Wayne McGregor, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny McGregor Sr., Caldwell County, a daughter, Mary McGregor, Princeton; five brothers, Larry Slaton, Lyon County, Michael Slaton, Princeton, Jimmy and Joe Slaton, both of Caldwell County, Jesse Slaton, Mobile, Ala,; a sister, Donna Sue Johnson, Caldwell County.
