Barbara Jean Windish, Galesburg Chapel
84, of Littleton, CO, formerly of Galesburg, died at 9:35 PM Thursday, October 2, 2008 in the Denver Hospice Center in Aurora, CO.
She was born January 8, 1924 in Galesburg, the daughter of Miles and Helen Martin Curtis. She married Dale S. Windish, Sr. on October 24, 1946 in Springfield, IL. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1995.
She is survived by a son, Dale S. Windish, Jr. and 2 daughters, Carolyn Irwin and Christine Bumguardner, all of the Denver area, 3 grandchildren, and a brother, Donald Curtis of Flossmoor, IL.
Barbara graduated from Galesburg High School in 1941 and from Knox College in 1945. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Graveside service will be 10 AM Saturday, October 11, 2008 in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. David Parker will officiate. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Knox College. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
