Surviving are two sons, William H. (Marilyn) Anderson and David R. "Rick" Anderson; two daughters, Ferne (Walt) Smith and Nancy K. Myers; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Merel worked at Graham Hospital in Canton for 17 years as a dietician. She was a lifelong member of the Salvation Army and a member of its Home League.
