"Jack" was born 1826 and died 1866 born
in AL to Abraham (b.1770-1780-d. bef. 1840)and Lucretia Haygood James (b. abt.1794 d. unknown). 2nd marriage William Sparks.

"Jack" Married Marinda Josephine Hudson in 1843.
She was the dau. of Rush and Dorothy James Hudson.
Josephine died in 1857. There was a baby born in 1857.

"Jack' contacted small pox in the Civil War. This was a very contagious disease, and everyone stay clear of him.
He and Hudson Hester lived in an old house and when they died the old house was burned.

He died in 1866 in AL and is buried with Hudson G. Hester in Hester-James Cemetery, near Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Russellville, AL . Only 2 graves are there together.

His grave is enclosed with a pretty White Wrought Iron Fence.
