Funeral services for Louise Pearl Byrum, 81, of Kilgore, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, with the Rev. James Shepard and Rev. Jimmy Ames officiating. Interment will follow in Kilgore Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Byrum died Saturday, October 4, 2008, in Kilgore. Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore.
Louise Pearl Byrum was born August 9, 1927, in Kinta, Okla., to Robert and Linday Floyd, deceased. She attended schools in Oklahoma. Louise was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and her family.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Marcella and Gary Brown of Lake Cherokee and Sandra Sue and Ronald Strait of Liberty City; four grandchildren, LeAnn McDaniel and husband, Greg, of Overton, Scott and Gayla Brown of Saltillo, Mexico, Mark and Alaina Strait of Liberty City and Marty and Julie Strait of Longview. Louise was blessed with 10 great-grandchildren and her sister, Madean Bray of Oklahoma City, Okla., who also survive her.
Her husband, the Rev. H.B. Byrum; four brothers; and three sisters preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2008, at the funeral home.
