Wesley O. Flood

Wesley O. (Wes) Flood, 87, passed away on September 30, 2008 at home in the presence of his beloved wife, Muriel. Wes is also survived by his son, Bill; granddaughters, Tammy and Kayla. He was preceded in death by his son, Tom. Wes was born in Kentucky and moved to Long Beach with is family as a child and lived here most of his life. Wes graduated from Long Beach Poly High School. He then served in the US Navy and fought in WWII and the Korean War. Prior to retirement, Wes worked as a manager at McDonnell Douglas. Wes loved scouting and served as a scoutmaster of Pack 205 for many years. Wes was also an avid golfer. A memorial celebration of Wes's life will be held on Monday, October 6 at 12 noon at Westminster Memorial Park and Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the St. Gregory Church Memorial.
