JERSEYVILLE - Mrs. Verna Reno Alexander, wife of Sanford Alexander, died Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Jersey Community Hospital. Mrs. Alexander who was 69, had been hospitalized for the past 12 days. She was born at Roodhouse. Jan 13, 1891, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Philip Reno. Mrs Alexander was a member of Royal Neighbors Lodge. In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Clifford H. Jerseyville, three grandchildren Charles Alexander, who is in Germany with the Army; Mrs. Patsy Moore, and Miss Ruth Alexander Jerseyville and one great grandchild. Funeral rites will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. in Jacoby Brothers Funeral home by the Rev Earl Dickey. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
