Our beloved Gertrude (Nanny) Hill went to be with her Lord on September 30, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. Nanny was born on September 14, 1914 at Saddle Mountain, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Earl R. Hill Sr., parents Robert and Alta Newman, two sisters, Ida and Ethel and two brothers, Pete and Bob. Nanny loved her family and she always made it a point to let them know she loved them. She is survived by daughter and husband Aileen and Joe Hall and son and wife, Earl and Barbara Hill. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and their spouses, JoAnna and Matt Taylor, Jeannie and Kevan Gentry, Susie and Keith Wright, Joe and Kim Hall, Earl R. Hill III, and Tony Hill, 23 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews who she loved very much. Along with numerous friends, she is also survived by two special friends who were like a daughter and son, Joyce Gleave and David Owrey, and very special friends at Forrest Glade, Ruthetta Classen, Phyllis Stone, Maurine Carver and Maggie Graham. A special thanks to all her caregivers and Dee Carter. Viewing will be Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008 at the funeral Home from 8AM-8PM, and funeral services will be 10AM Friday Oct. 3, 2008 at Guardian West Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
