Hewett Beasley was one of six children of William F. Beasley and Mary Sidney Hewett. He was a noted photographer from the late 1880s to 1920, and participated in national and international photography shows with such noted photographers as Alfred Stieglitz. He also wrote numerous articles of photography for the Baltimore Sun and other publications.
