BREMEN - Dorothy M. Tener, 75, died Monday, Sept. 29, in the Bremen
Health Care Center. She was born on November 21, 1932, in St.
Joseph County, IN, to the late Otis and Edna (Hoffman) Andrews. On
July 25, 1953, she married Melvin Tener, who preceded her in death
on August 13, 2006. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Esther
Dyer; brothers, Donald, Edgar, Devere and William Andrews; and by a
grandson, Baron Odiorne. She attended the former First Assembly of
God Church, Bremen, and before that had attended the former County Line First
Assembly of God Church. She was very active within the church and served as
treasurer, and was a lifetime member of the Bremen VFW Women's Auxiliary.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Michalski of South Bend; sisters, Nellie
Van Gilder of Plymouth, Ethel Renes of South Bend, Deloris (Harry) Beechler of
Elkhart and Erma (Glen) Hochstetler of Nappanee; a brother, George Andrews of
Bremen; two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3rd, in Mishler
Funeral Home, Bremen, with Pastor Chuck Krieg officiating. Burial will be at Bremen
Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2nd, in Mishler Funeral
Home, Bremen. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society . The Mishler
Funeral Home in Bremen is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may
