Irene Henry
Irene Henry, 90, of Cameron died Aug. 26 in the Winnie L. Nursing Home in Cameron. Funeral services were held Aug. 28 in the First Christian Church in Rockdale with the Rev. Allison Joyce and the Rev. Craig Wills officiating. Burial followed in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.
Henry was born April 15, 1914 in the Gay Hill Community to Joe and Rosa (Hirt) Dockall. She married Weldon Henry on Oct. 31, 1959 and owned and operated the Cut N Curl Beauty Shop in Rockdale for 30 years. After her retirement, she became a hostess at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Rockdale.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon; son, Billie Joe Lamb; parents; brothers, Emil, John, Charlie, Bill, Max and Floyd Dockall; sisters, Mamie Stolte, Amanda Dockall, Lorene Jenkins and Roseline "Sis" Doss.
Henry is survived by her daughter, Willyne Stanislaw and husband Hal of Cameron; sister, Josephine "Fats" Doss of Rockdale; grandchildren, Casey and Ann Stanislaw and Julie and Craig Sulak, all of Cameron; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Emily Stanislaw and Austin and Holly Sulak, all of Cameron.
Pallbearers were Bert Dockdall, Austin Sulak, Caleb Stanislaw, Billy Jenkins, Charles Stolte, Kevin Jenkins, Craig Sulak and Albert Kaseburg.
