He was the first teacher in Otho Township. No. 1 school was build in 1861 near the Otho cemetery.

George and Orlinda had two children: Hoyt N. and Lila H. Hart

He married second on 11 Jun 1885 Pervilla Alsever daughter of Abram Alsever and Arminda Fish.

George and Pervilla had three children: Seth Norman, Albertina Anderson, and Dwight M. Hart
