She is survived by her three sons: James E. Gilliland, Ronald L. Gilliland, and William "Larry" Gilliland, all of Bloomington; one daughter, Edna L. Gilliland, of Bloomington; two sisters: Wilma Pelley, of Bloomington and Freida Buckner, of Melbourne, Florida; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward R. Gilliland, her parents, one son, Melvin Ray Gilliland, one daughter, Carolyn Sue Gilliland, in infancy, and one brother, Chester Young.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Day Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Payne Cemetery.
