Betty V. (Ray) Forrester, 81, Indianapolis, died September 25, 2008, in St. Francis Hospital South, Indianapolis. Mrs. Forrester was born September 24, 1927, in Martinsville, Indiana, to the late Everett and Revicca (Parrish) Ray.

Mrs. Forrester had worked at Beamis Plastics many years ago. In addition, she was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, growing flowers, and cooking for her family.

Mrs. Forrester was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Forrester, who died in 1972; son, Donald Forrester; daughter, Vickie Carver.

Survivors include her daughters, Newellette Sue Layfield of Indianapolis, Beverly Parlett of Indianapolis, Betty Hofer of Carmel, Tonya Brissey of Indianapolis; brother, Veto Ray of Bainbridge; sister, Veatrice "Becky" Burkhard of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren.

Friends and family may call on Monday, September 29, 2008, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Carlisle and Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall, Indiana.
