Edgar Barr of 1911 Union Ave., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 1972, at 3.25 p.m. in VA Hospital, where he was admitted Nov. 30, 1971. He was born in Altoona on June 24, 1888, a son of Samuel and Jemima (Bowers) Barr, and married Geraldine Gates on May 29, 1946. Surviving is his wife.
Mr. Barr, known as Porky, was a World War I veteran, having served in France. He was self-employed as a trucker.
Friends will be received in the Carn Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow.
