Obituaries/Death Notices
HOLLAND Dorothy Marie (Rains) (Rollins) Holland was born in Washington, OK August 10, 1927. She was the daughter of Joseph and Jenny Rains. She would try almost anything once and was brave enough to try marriage twice. She was a terrific cook, a great listener, and even better with giving solid moral guidance (or a whoopin', whichever proved most effective). She spent her summer weekends at the lake skiing, camping and boating with her friends and family. After 30 yrs. she retired from Tinker AFB. She enjoyed sports and was a avid basketball player at Washington High School. She enjoyed O.U. Woman's Basketball. Dorothy gave her life to Christ and in her own words "became a child of God" on January 17th, 2004. After several years of fighting the complications of Diabetes, our sister, mother, grandmother and friend went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2005. Services will be held 1:00 Wednesday, 2005 at Lakeside Church of God in Norman, OK. with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel Moore, OK.
