GREENVIEW - Eileen Naomi Altig, 90, of Greenview, died on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at St. John's Hospital.

She was born on April 14, 1918, in Greenview, to Fred and Nellie Sampson Weidhuner. She married James D. Altig. He preceded her in death in 1961.

She is survived by a son, Ronald Altig of Starkville, Miss.; and two sisters, Nedra Howell of Greenview and Doris Sachtleben of Springfield.

Her husband preceded her in death.

Mrs. Altig had worked at New Salem State Park for close to 30 years, retiring as assistant site manager. She was a member of the Greenview Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at Greenview Christian Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, at Hurley Funeral Home in Greenview from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview.
