Born in New York City, on Aug. 27, 1934, he moved to Keystone Heights in 1979 from Jacksonville. He was a member of St. William Catholic Church, Am Vets Post 86, Fleet Reserve of Interlachen, VFW member at large and retired General Industrial Mechanic in the U.S. Navy, October 1955-May 1975.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Galan; daughters, Kris Patrick, Keystone Heights, Sandra Slaughter, Bardin; Zelda Nelson, Great Mills, Md.; sons, Tony Galan Jr., King George, Va.; Frank Galan, Keystone Heights; Danny Galan, Grandin; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A mass service for him will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 11 in the St. William Catholic Church.
Interment will be in Keystone Heights Cemetery.
