She graduated from Falmouth High School and Gorham State Teachers College. She married Burchard Ranger of Falmouth in 1955. She was a teacher in the Portland school system for two years and subsequently devoted her life to her husband and raising her children.
She was a two-term member of the Falmouth School Board. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, camping, fishing, gardening, her dogs and trips to Moosehead Lake where her family had a cabin for 30 years.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, son, daughter,and three sisters.
