Son of (David?) Lee and Jane Hooker. Married Cinthia Alice Blankenship on Apr. 26, 1881, in Liberty, Casey Co., KY. William and Alice had 15 children. William was better known by his middle name: Tom or Thomas.

Lee, Wm. Thomas
Thomas Lee, aged 62, died Thursday night at 7:10 o’clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. J.O. Hart, 4215 South Hanna Street, after a month’s illness of complications. He was a carpenter and had lived here for seven years. He was born in Barboursville, Ky.

Surviving are the wife, Alice; nine daughters, Miss Elizabeth Lee, Mrs. Anna Ferguson, Mrs. Hart, Mrs. Dora Ellis, Mrs. Myrtle Allison, Mrs. Christine Chesterman. Mrs. Elizabeth Davis and Mrs. Bernice Miller, all of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Dolly Miles, of Knoxville, Ky.; four sons, Bruce, Louis, Charles and Delmar Lee, all of Fort Wayne; a brother, J.S. Lee, of Kingsmountain, Ky., and 38 grandchildren.

His gravemarker shows that he was born in 1862 and his death certificate 1868. The 1870 and 1910 censuses both show that he was born about 1860, with the 1870 census being recorded closest to his actual birth.
