G. de Mardueno lived at Santa Monica Road, Carpenteria and at Sea Cliff in the canyon that bears his name. Jose de Jesus Mardueno was buried at Cieneguitas Catholic Cemetery, Santa Barbara, 11 November 1891, age 63 years. His spouse Teodora Mardueno died and was buried at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, San Buenaventura, CA in 1914.
