"Henry O. Hale Weds Mrs. Cora B. Newton of Hartford, Conn."
"Announcement was made today of the marriage of Henry O. Hale of this city and Mrs. Cora S. Newton of Hartford, Conn.
The wedding took place recently in Des Moines.
Mrs. Newton is the widow of Dr. John B. Newton, prominent Hartford physician, who died eleven years ago. She is the daughter of the late Mrs. Anna Stark of Webster City.
For several years Mrs. Newton spent part of each year with her mother in Webster City and it was during one of these visits that she made the acquaintance of Mr. Hale and became a close friend of the late Mrs. Hale, a friendship that continued during Mrs. Hale's lifetime.
Mr. Hale is retired but is one of the state's most successful business men, as evidenced by the careful management of the properties entrusted to his care. Much of his time is devoted to the supervision of his real estate holdings. He is a direct descendant of Nathan Hale of Revolutionary war fame.
Neither Mr. Hale or his wife have children.
Mr. and Mrs. Hale have left for the east on a motor trip. They will spend several weeks along the Atlantic coast and in the White mountains before returning to Fort Dodge. They have not decided whether they will make their permanent home here."

"Mrs. C. Hale dies at 86
Mrs. Cora Hale, 86, prominent longtime Fort Dodge resident, died in St. Mary's Hospital at Rochester, Minn., early this morning.
Mrs. Hale fell and fractured her hip at her home, 920 S. 29th St., last October and since then she was been at Mercy Hospital in Fort Dodge. She became ill last Saturday and was taken to Rochester in an ambulance.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Catherine Little Webster City, and, nieces and nephews. The widow of Henry Hale, Mrs. Hale was a member of Sacred Heart Church here.
Services are pending at Laufersweiler Funeral Home."
