Cordelia M. Carr, 80, of Everest, Kans., died at the Oak Ridge Nursing Home in Hiawatha Thursday, February 4, 1971. She was the widow of the late Knowlton F. Carr. She was born in Lee County, Va., June 5, 1890, and was a member of the Everest Christian Church, and the Christian Ladies Circle.
She is survived by one son, Ward Carr of Everest; two brothers, White Barnes of Hiawatha and John Barnes of Horton; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Anna) Chick and Mrs. Tava Poston, both of Hiawatha; one grand child and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 7, at 2 p.m. at the Chaney Chapel, Horton, with Rev. Harold Wolf officiating. Interment will be in Mr. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.
