Stephenville. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday, Mount Pisgah Cemetery, Erath County.
Wendell was born Jan. 23, 1933, in Patillo to Joseph and Eva McPherson McCleskey. He attended school in Santo, and LSU. He retired from The FAA. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956 as a corpsman. Survivors: Brother, Kenneth McCleskey and wife, June, of Fort Worth, George McCleskey of Weatherford; nephews, Greg McCleskey of Lipan, Barry McCleskey and wife, Jana, of Patillo; niece, Vanessa McCleskey Roden and husband, Ray, of Patillo; and numerous great-nieces and
great-nephews.
