Polly was the one of 10 children, and one of seven daughters, of Benjamin Allen and Susanna Taylor. Polly was married to Abner Barnett on December 18, 1834, in Greene County, Illinois. Abner and Polly had the following children: John H. Barnett, Mary Jane Bowman, William H. Barnett, Elizabeth Ann Taylor, and one other child for whom no information is known. After Abner's death, Polly was married to Anson Miller on January 22, 1845, in Greene County, Illinois. Anson and Polly had the following children: Sarah C. Crane and Andrew K. Miller.
