Clarence was 89 and passed away at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, January 21, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. He was born October 4, 1917, In Mount Vernon, Indiana, to the late Edith Blanche and Henry Clinton Dimmitt Sr. In 1938 he married Jeanette Waller, who proceeded him in death in 1981. In 1941 he married Charlotte H. Rogers, who proceeded him in death in 2003. Clarence was also proceeded in death by five sisters and two brothers. Lillian Blanche (Dimmitt) Wright, Maxine Clara (Dimmitt) Wright, Florence Elizabeth (Dimmitt) Waller, Glowdean (Dimmitt) Jackson, Claudean (Dimmitt) Arnold, Henry Clinton Dimmitt Jr., and Charles Edward "Jack" Dimmitt. He is survived by a daughter Yvonne Williams of South Bend; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Clarence was a retired railroad worker. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of the New Covenant Baptist Church, South Bend, and the Wisdom Masonic Lodge #102 in Chicago, Illinois. Military graveside services was held at the Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
