Van Winfred "Winter" was the son of Cicero Cincinnatti and Sarah Ann "Dood" (Gant) Biggs. He was the first of seven sons memorialized on the Texas-shaped Biggs Monument in McNeil Cemetery, Caldwell Co., Texas. Winter's brothers were: Ernest Wiseman "Wisie", Miles Monroe "Dink", James Abner, Quintus Dabney "QD", Oscar Wilds "OW", and Basil Blake.
Winter married Ninnie Callihan in Luling, Caldwell Co. Texas on Nov. 2, 1898. Their children were: Clarence Winfred, Otis Cicero, Arthur Monroe, Douglas, Joe Clinton, Edna Ophelia (Biggs) Harrison, Doris, and Jewel.
