Glowdean Dimmitt and twin the late Claudean Arnold was born on July 28, 1928 to H. Clint Dimmitt and Edith B. Dimmitt in Mount Vernon, Indiana. They were the youngest of eight children.

The family moved to Indianapolis for their high school years. The twins graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1945. Glowdean worked at a major department store for a few years. She was later employed at the RCA Corporation, where she retired after 38 years of service. Glowdean married Armand Jackson, December 24, 1947 and from that union came four children, Claudette, Armand Jr, Eva Darcel, and Brian Peter. They divorced after 15 years of marriage. Her sisters, Lillian Wright and Florence Waller, and her brother, Clarence Dimmitt survive Glowdean. She has two sisters and two brothers who have gone on before her, the late Claudean Arnold, the late Maxine Wright, the late Charles Dimmitt and the late Henry Dimmitt Jr. Glowdean has seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, greats and grands, brother and sister-in-laws, and friends of many years. Glowdean was one of a kind. She loved God, her family and was a faithful friend, Glowdean will be forever missed.
