Married Eliza Bennett born 1823 in Columbiana County, Ohio, and died 1843.
Child: Jacob and infant at birth.

Married Hannah Phillips about 1850, born about 1822.

Married Mary Gilson October 17, 1854.

From the Coy Family History by Ethel Bush Packey;
Henry Coy III, was inducted into the Army at Findlay, Ohio on February 24, 1864 for a period of three years. The physical description given was that he was six feet tall, had grey eyes and dark hair and fair complexion. He first married Eliza Bennett, a Quaker, from Philadelphia. He married twice more and had six children with the third wife. It is interestingly noted that he enlisted into the Army just one month before his sixth child was born, March 23, 1864. It is also noted that he probably never saw his last child as he was reported to have died May 1864 presumably at a Field Hospital in Grayville, Georgia, cause of death not stated. Word was sent to his family that the body of Henry Coy III was buried at Chattanooga, Tennessee in the National Cemetery, grave # 1350.

According to a letter of recognition for pension by Mary Gilson Coy, written by the Adjutant General at Washington D.C., dated October 10, 1864, it is reported that Henry Coy III died May 1, 1864 at Grayville Georgia, cause of death not stated. Another source stated that he died in the Field Hospital.

Volume XI of the Roll of Honor: Civil War Union Soldiers buried at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee lists, on page 139, Henry Coy, a Private in the 21st Ohio Infantry, who was killed at Graysville, Georgia.
