Son of William & Jane (Pollock) Coburn. First married Emilla Wilson in 1838 in Warren Co, Ohio; she died in 1840; they were the parents of John Milton Coburn, b. 1840. Second married Melinda Pegg 1849 in Wabash Co, Indiana; they were the parents of Samuel, Francis Marion, William, Esther, Thomas, Alvin, David and Charles.
