Funeral services for Mr. Harold J. Fink, age 93, of Bastrop will 2 p.m. Sunday, November 4th, at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Dr. L.H. McCollough officiating. Interment will be at Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. till time of service at Cox Funeral Home.

Mr. Harold Julius Fink was born March 18, 1914 in Monroe, Louisiana to the late Julius Aron [sic. Aaron] Fink and Mary Watters [sic. Waters] Fink. He died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop. He is preceded in death by his wife Oma Jones Fink.

Mr. Fink was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bastrop and a veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Corps. He was the former owner of Harold's Mens Store and a retired realtor with Bastrop Realty. He was a member and past-president of the Bastrop Kiwanis Club, the Bastrop-Morehouse Chamber of Commerce and the Bastrop Retail Merchant's Association.

He is survived by a nephew, Dr. J.V. Jones; a niece, Karol Burchfield; and special friends, William Hugh and Dot Parker, Richard, Jan, Regan, and Rachel Haneline, and M.L. Smith.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are John Sibley, Peyton Spear, Nelson Orr, Bob Jackson, M.L. Smith, William Hugh Parker, Richard Haneline, John Bond, and Dr. Robert Lyon.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Lyon for his care and concearn given to Mr. Fink. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 620 East Madison, Bastrop, Louisiana 71220.
