MRS. ANDREW GAST
Mrs. Hanore J. Gast, 74, wife of Andrew Gast, RFD 4, Valparaiso, died Sunday at 3:30 a.m., at her home after a lingering illness.
A lifelong resident of Porter county, she was married to Andrew Gast at St. Paul's Catholic church June 14, 1904. She was a member of the Rosary society of St. Paul's church.
Surviving are the husband; three daughters, Mrs. Francis Shearer, Mrs. Katheryne Christy, and Mrs. Ellen Ritz, all of Valparaiso; three sons, Gerald, Edward and Thomas, all of Valparaiso; a brother, John Fitzgerald, Lake Eliza; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Godsil, Santa Cruz, Calif., and Mrs. Nellie Neff, Bay City, Mich. There are also 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A son, one brother and a sister preceded her in death.
Services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m., at the Dykes Funeral home, and at 9 a.m., at St. Paul's church with the Rev. Raymond Derrick officiating. A rosary will be recited at the funeral home Tuesday at 8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Paul's cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from this evening until time of services Wednesday.
