She married Elmer J. "Bus" Jacobs on July 11, 1939, in Hays. He died March 17, 1985.
She worked at Hays Coca-Cola Bottlers and at Kmart. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a former member of the Daughters of Isabella and VFW Auxiliary, all of Hays.
Survivors inlclude two sons, Phil Jacobs and wife, Carole, Portland, Ore., and Jim Jacobs and wife, Virginia, Hays; two daughters, Cynthia Seltmann and husband, Terry, Nekoma; and Janet Shankland and husband, Mike, Seattle; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, Lavern Morton, Roy Morton, Ray Morton and Irvin Morton; and five sisters, Eva Coleman, Neva Sherfick, Marge Fondoble, Lou Westphal and Wanda Orr.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholich Church; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Friday at the Cline's Mortuary, 1919 E. 22nd. There will be a vigil service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to Hays Good Samaritan Center or for Masses.
