Born 22 Oct 1914, in Shelbyville, IN, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Henrietta (Vogt) Forster. She married Stanley Baker on 20 Jun 1937, and he preceded her in death on 13 Oct 2000.
Survivors include one son, Robert (wife, Barbara) Baker of Lawton; one daughter, Susan (husband, Quentin) Reynolds of Santa Ana, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Tammi (husband, Werner) Steyn of Grand Rapids, Mich., Jennifer Baker of Brixham, England, Bobby Baker of Kalamazoo, Mich., Ryan Reynolds and Brett Reynolds, both of California.
She also was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph Charles Baker; one brother, Norman Forster, and one sister, Ava Mae Wright.
Mrs. Baker was a homemaker.
She was a member of Waldron United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, and the Order of Eastern Star in Waldron.
Mrs. Baker was known as the chocolate chip lady.
Graveside services were held at 12:30 p.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery in Mattawan ,Mich.
