The daughter of James & Sibil Prudden, she was baptized on Feb. 8, 1616/7 in Kings Walden, Hertfordshire, England. She married Samuel Coley on Feb. 14, 1639/40 in Milford, New Haven Colony. She was admitted to the Milford Church on Feb. 14, 1640/41. Her will was written Feb. 13, 1688/89 in Milford lising children: Peter, Samuel, Thomas Coley, Abilene Chaping, Sarah Baldwin, Mary Stream, and Hannah Garnsey. Son-in-law, Joseph Garnsey was appointed executor on Nov. 11, 1689.

To the right is a plaque on the Memorial Bridge over the Wepawaug River in Milford honoring Samuel & Ann Coley as early settlers of Milford.
The names of SAMUEL COLEY & ANN PRUDDEN, his wife, are on a plaque on the Memorial Bridge over the Wepawaug River in Milford placed by the Milford 350th Celebration Committee, July 8, 1989. It says: "IN MEMORY OF THE 18 ORIGINAL SETTLERS OF MILFORD WHOSE NAMES WERE NOT PLACED ON THE MEMORIAL BRIDGE WHEN IT WAS BUILT IN 1889: SAMUEL COLEY OBIT 1684 ANN PRUDDEN HIS WIFE"
