Virgil Bagbey, of Advance, died February 8, 1991 at Southeast Hospital in Cape. He was 77. He was born October 4, 1913 in Bollinger County, son of Floyd and Bertha (Aldrich) Bagbey.
He and the former Lillian Speer were married July 20, 1933 at Brownwood, MO. She died April 14, 1986.
Mr. Bagbey was a teacher at the former Goods Pond Hill School near Advance; and later was a rural mail carrier.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Advance; and had been a deacon since 1951.
Survivors include one daughter, Doris Kidd; one brother, Vernon (s/b Verman) Bagbey of Advance, MO; two grandsons and three great-grandsons.
An infant daughter, one brother, and five sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral service was Sunday at First Baptist Church. Burial followed in Morgan Memorial Park at Advance.
