Raymond A. Jorgensen, 95, died Thursday, August 2, 2005 at his home in Lake City. Services were held August 4, at Lanesboro United Methodist Church in Lanesboro with Rev. Marcia F. Sangel officiating. Burial was in Lanesboro Cemetery.
Raymond Alden Jorgensen was born November 22, 1909 at Des Moines, IA, the son of Niels and Alice E. (Schuett) Jorgensen. He went to school in Sheridan, Jasper Twp., and graduated from high school in 1928.
He began working at Store Craft making shelving fixtures, which is where he met Grace. He was united in marriage with Grace Schmidt in September of 1931, and they farmed in the Lanesboro area until Grace's death on April 2, 1972, when he retired. In 1973 he married Helen Dudley and she preceded him in death in 1978. He married Pat Schumacher in May of 1980.
Raymond was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lanesboro as well as a member of Lanesboro Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Pat; sons Donald (Dorothy) Jorgensen of Lohrville; Dennis (Crystal) Jorgensen of Lake City; stepdaughter Dawn Schumacher of Lake City; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother Karl of Fonda; sister Sylvia Barber of Sacramento, CA; brother-in-law Kenneth Sherer of Glidden. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Genevieve, brother-in-law
Gordon Barber, granddaughter Darlene Holm and wives Grace and Helen.

LAKE CITY - Raymond A. Jorgensen, 95, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005 at his home in Lake City. Funeral services will be on Thursday, Aug. 4, at 10:30 a.m. at Lanesboro United Methodist Church with the Rev. Marcia F. Sangel officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to
service. Burial will be in Lanesboro Cemetery. Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City is in charge of arrangements.
