Funeral services for Eula Mae Burkhart, 51, Chadwick, were held Dec. 3 in the Chadwick First Baptist church with the Revs. Robert Daniels and Hobo Applegate officiating, Burial was in Chadwick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Harris Funeral Home. Mrs. Burkhart died Dec. 2 in St. John’s Regional Health Center, Springfield, following a short illness. She was born and raised in Sparta and moved to Chadwick shortly after 1952. Mrs. Burkhart was a member of the Chadwick First Baptist church. Survivors include three sons, Randy, Bruce and Bobby, all of Chadwick; three daughters, Kay Grider, Chadwick, Carol Workman, Sparta, and Shelly Burkhart, of the home; three brothers, Don Gideon, Dale Gideon and Leo Gideon, all of Sparta; four sisters, Dorothy Jackson, Faye Rantz, Jeanie Loomis, and Sue Schreiner, all of Sparta; and eight grandchildren.
