Funeral services were held here Monday, February 16, for Dewey Bolinger, 53, who died of a heart attack at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elton Sparks, at Green Forest on Thursday evening, February 12. He had not been ill and his death came as a shock to his family and friends.

A life-long resident of Madison county, except for a few months spend in Washington state, Mr. Bolinger was born August 24, 1899 the son of Harvey Bolinger and Dima Jones Bolinger both of whom survive. He was married to Mildred Phillips April 29, 1918 and they were the parents of five children all of whom survive. Mildred died January 14, just 29 days prior to her husbands death. Until about one year ago when she became ill, they had lived on their farm in the Lower Whorton community where both were born and reared.

The deceased is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Loretta Walden of Buhl, Idaho; Mrs. Juanita Thrall of Gardena, Calif., Mrs. Joyce Conrad of Omak, Wash., and Mrs. Dorthy Sparks of Green Forest and Huntsville; one son, Howard of Huntsville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Bolinger of Huntsville; one brothers, Claud Bolinger, of Sheridan, Wyo.; nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Vivan Rhodes at 2 p.m. at the Brashears Funeral Chapel. Burial was in the Whorton Creek cemetery under the direction of the Brashears Funeral home.

Pallbearers were Keith Newman, Omer Fowler, Ewen Easterling, LeRoy Keeling, Orba Youngblood and Ray Bolinger.
