"Ed Thomas, whose home was a few miles east of Boaz, died last Friday night at 7 o'clock after an illness of several days of pneumonia. Funeral at Beulah Sunday at 11 o'clock, Rev. Morris officiating; interment at Beulah. Odd Fellows in charge. Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, and 11 children, besides many other relatives. He was a prominent farmer, and a director of the Farmer Warehouse & Gin Co." -Dec 1931
