JONES, JOHN PAUL

Died 9:25 a.m. Sunday, June 15, 1986, at his residence in Pride. He was 76, a lifelong resident of Pride. He was a retired Exxon Company USA employee. Religious services at Milldale Baptist Church, Pride, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Jesse Norris, the Rev. Danny Greig, and the Rev. Jimmy Robertson. Burial in church cemetery. Survived by wife, Mrs. Elva Chaney "Missy" Jones, Pride; two daughters, Jennifer J. Hammer, Malvern, Ark., and Paula J. Tripp, Oklahoma; a son, Robert Browning Jones, Camden, Ark.; four sisters, Mrs. J.R. (Chesley) Noble, Kerrville, Texas, Mrs. A.J. (Tirzah) Cook, Zachary, Mrs. Beth Nettles, Watson, and Mrs. Virginia "Dare" Chafers, Walker; five brothers, W. Lee Jones, Denham Springs, A. Ponder Jones,Carey C. Jones, A. Collins Jones, and Lloy G. Jones, all of Watson; and four grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother, Murray I. Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be V.A. Chaney, Joe Young, J.W. Jones, Millard Chaney, E.H. Evans, John Speier, J.W. Dunham and Clinton Hanna. He was a member of Milldale Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to Milldale Baptist International Ministries.
