Edinburgh G. Corprew Jr. PORTSMOUTH - Edinburgh G. "Tip" Corprew Jr., owner and manager of Corprew Funeral Home Inc. of the 2800 block of Arcadia Ave., departed this life unexpectedly Aug. 24, 2008, at his residence. He was predeceased by his parents, Edinburgh G. Corprew Sr. and Maggie Harris Corprew. He is survived by his devoted wife, Beverly Luney Corprew; a daughter, Tracee N. Corprew; a grandson, Dominique J. Corprew; three uncles, Clarence Harris (Una) of Newport News, James Harris (Grace) of Richmond and William Harris (Joyce) of Portsmouth; a father-in-law, Herbert Luney of Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Martha Luney of the home; one brother-in-law, Charles Luney of Wisconsin; and a host of other relatives and friends. A wake will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 2714 Frederick Blvd., Portsmouth. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James Episcopal Church, 928 Effingham St., Portsmouth. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. James Episcopal Church.
