Laura A. Bryant, daughter of Andrew B. and Margaret (Mangell) Emerick was born December 6, 1871, at Butler, Pa. She passed away May 21, 1955, at the Masonic Home at Plattsmouth, Nebr., at the age of 83 years, five months and 15 days.
When she was 15, she came with her parents and four brothers to a farm near Davenport, Nebr. They later moved to Carleton.
On September 6, 1906, she was united in marriage to James H. Bryant at Lincoln, Nebr. To this union were born one son, Lyle James of Lincoln and two daughters, Eulalia Marie of Chambers and Roma Margaret of Geneva.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband and children; four grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Emerick of Wauneta and Will Emerick of West Plains, Mo., and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held in the Brethren Church at Carleton, with interment in the Carleton Cemetery.
