Edward was born in Prussia Germany. He immigrated to the United States about 1848. He married Hannah Loduska Kenyon on May 5, 1867 in Allen County Indiana. He served #157245 Union 11 Battery, Indiana Light Artillery & 18 Battery, Indiana Light Artillery for the Union during the Civil War. He died at Buckhead, Cleveland County, Oklahoma Territory. He and Loduska were the parents of Annie, Byron, Walter, Sarah Ellen, Gertrude and Susan Francis.

Edward and Loduska's headstones were broken. They were replaced with a new headstone by their great grandson, Roger M Beamer. The broken stones were buried behind the new stone.
