"Sharon Ione Allen, 58, of Rt. 3 Veedersburg (Mellott), died at her residence Tuesday evening, March 31, 1992. Death was sudden and unexpected.

She was born November 18, 1933, at Newtown to King and Helen Myers Cunningham. She married Wayne L. Allen Aug. 5, 1951, in Attica. he survives.

She was a life resident of the Newtown area. She was a graduate of Richland Township High School and attended Indiana Business College at Lafayette. She was a secretary for the School of Pharmacy at Purdue University. She was a former member of the Newton Presbyterian Church.

Surviving, besides the husband, are her mother of Rt. 3, Veedersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Gordon( Susan) Kerts of Rt 4, Veedersburg, two sons, John of Rt. 3, Veedersburg, and David of Rt. 1, Hillsboro; a sister, Mrs. James (Myrna) Allen of Rt. 3, Veedersburg; two brothers, Michael of Rt. 3, Veedersburg, and William of Findlay, Ohio; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, King Cunningham.

Funeral services will be held at Maus Funeral Home at Attica, at 10:30 a.m. today (Friday) with the Father Duane Craycraft officiating. Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery, Newtown. Memorials may be made to the MD Anderson Clinic." - Fountain County Neighbor, Attica, Indiana, April 3, 1992
